-----QUALIFICATIONS-----

1. Nominee must be an owner , or co-owner, of a yacht.

2. Nominee must be active in most yachting affairs.

3. Nominee must have made an outstanding contribution to his Club or other yachting organization(s), such as Power Squadron, Coast Guard Auxiliary, etc.

4. Nominee need not be a member of the submitter's Club, Power Squadron or Coast Guard Auxiliary.

5. Selection of the nominee should be considered on the basis of the nominee having been active in:

• Boating education

• Search and Rescue missions

• Rendering assistance to fellow yachtspersons, or any other outstanding performance during the current yachting season.

The award will be determined by a point system established by the Award Committee, whose decision will be final.  The deserving nominee shall receive a "Yachtsperson of the Year" plaque at an official ceremony.
